A different experience

We live in an internet era, and ordering everything from shoes to paper towels online is part of every day life. Many couples begin their search for wedding invitations online as well. There are certainly many options to choose from and the convenience of ordering right from your living room is appealing. While online shopping is great for many things, shouldn’t something as important as choosing your wedding invitation be experienced in person? You wouldn’t order your wedding dress or tuxedo online and expect it to be perfect on your wedding day. Weeks are spent trying on options and going in for fittings and alterations to make certain that everything is perfect for the big day. That’s how we feel about invitations. You need to try a few on for size before you decide what you want, then we customize and tweak your design to make it completely custom, just the way you envision it.

BUILDING A RELATIONSHIP
The first, and most important, part of the process is building a relationship with couples, their families, and friends. We like to set up an initial meeting to get to know each other. Because our invitations are completely custom, it’s important that we get a feel for the couple’s personalities, where they are at in the planning process, what themes and ideas they have in mind for the wedding… we take all of that and more into consideration when beginning the design process. We want it to be fun and relaxed. Let’s meet for coffee or happy hour. We can even come to your home or office. The goal is to make it easy for you. Weddings can be stressful. We try to take some of that stress away and help you enjoy the process of planning your day.

CUSTOMIZATION
The next step is coming up with the design. We have samples and templates to help you get some ideas. You might know exactly what you want, and we will make that happen. Maybe you have no idea what you want and need help sorting it out, that’s what we’re here for! We get an idea of colors and themes you are thinking of for your wedding, get a feel for how formal or casual the event may be, what special circumstances you might have, and importantly, what your budget is for your invitations.

BUDGET CONSCIENCE
Speaking of budget, this is a very important area to us. Frankly, we think it’s a little ridiculous how expensive weddings can be. Just saying the word “wedding” to most vendors makes the cost jump up 30%. Not with us. We want you to have beautiful, professional, completely custom wedding invitations – but not break the bank. We would rather you save money on invitations and spend that on something else to make your wedding special, or put it toward your first home or honeymoon. Don’t think that saving money means you’re getting something of lesser quality. We are professional designers with nearly 50 years combined experience in printing and design. Not only can we design an amazing invitation, but we know what steps need to be taken to ensure that the final printed piece is flawless. We keep out prices affordable because it’s the right thing to do.

SAMPLES
One of the drawbacks of ordering invitations online is not knowing what the stock (paper) options really look like. You can order samples, but these typically will have a cost associated with them and take time to receive. We have our standard stock samples available to show you right away. If we discuss a stock that we do not have on hand, we incur the expense of getting a sample so you know exactly what to expect.

PROOFING
Another benefit we have is showing full, printed proofs of your invitation suite for final approval. You will be able to see your invitation, printed on your stock, and assembled so you can handle your final product before moving on to printing. There are no additional fees for your proof. For us, it’s an important step in the process. Also, if you find that something isn’t quite right and you want to make a change, that is included and will not have additional charges. We want your invitations to be perfect and make sure to take every step necessary to achieve that goal.

WHAT WE DON’T DO
We are not contracted with invitation companies to sell out of their catalogs. Our creations are our own, based on your vision for your wedding. We start from scratch with every couple to build a design theme that is all their own. You can rest assured that your invitations won’t look like anyone else’s.

    Hello, my future daughter in law will be getting married on December 2 2017 3 short months away.
    What is the turn around on a somewhat elegant wedding invitation. We need RSVPs as well.
    Do you have a store front we can shop at?

    Congratulations to your daughter and family!

    Our website does not include a store front. We produce custom invites based on the bride’s theme, colors, etc. We can communicate via phone, email, text or, preferably in person (depending on where you live!)

    Our production time depends on the invitation. We have done invites that take as little as a week and others that take several weeks. Typically, once the design is approved, it takes around 10 business days to produce a beautiful, elegant invitation.
